Is it free?
Free to play, with ads. DEX++ unlocks unlimited IDs, Ask Dex follow-ups, species Battles, and removes ads.
What can it identify?
Visible organisms in photos: animals, plants, fungi, and other life forms when the image has enough detail. The app rejects photos where no organism is clearly present.
iPhone and Android?
Yes. Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
How is it different from other wildlife ID apps?
It keeps the identification flow, then adds the game loop: species cards, XP, quests, rarity tiers, collection metrics, friends, trades, and biodiversity maps. Every ID means something.
Is my data safe?
Your collection is stored locally by default. Photos are sent to AI for identification and not permanently stored. Optional sign-in backs up your dex privately. Location tracking is always optional and any community map output is coarse and anonymous. Full privacy policy.
